RAVE Submission#1

I want to rave about my cousin Blaise Zingalis. He is a veteran of the Vietnam war. He struggled through the war like all soldiers did but he went out of his way to search for my brother Francis Alivento who was killed in a helicopter crash. He never gave up, risked h is own life and still keeps his memory alive. He is very active today as a veteran with all his comrades,at the Fort hamilton base in brooklyn.I love him very much and he always tells me stories about my brother.

It is with bittersweet memories that I RAVE about my friend, Luigi Masu, a proud Marine and Vietnam veteran. Though saddened by his recent passing, I recall fond memories of times shared at patriotic events both local and out-of-state and his passion for taking pictures. His firm but friendly style were his indomitable signature. We can still hear his warm 'hello' and 'thanks' in his unmistakable voice... he will be missed but always remembered as a special person...

ON A PERSONAL NOTE FROM A PROUD DAUGHTER OF A WWII VETERAN
I am the proud daughter of a WWII veteran, David C. Tharp, 101st Airborne, 502 Deuce PIR who fought during WWII in D-Day, Carentan, Holland and the Battle of the Bulge. I love remembering our veterans of the past, present and future. It takes total commitment, dedication and drive to post stories daily, writing and publishing books, all to express oneself, but also with the goal in mind to help other veterans who have been changed by their war experience, which changes their families too. It is important to recognize the families behind the soldier and veteran and those people who support and stand beside those who are dedicated to making a difference, no matter how grand or small. I feel truly blessed to have met and interacted with so many wonderful veterans and their families, without whom we would not enjoy the freedoms we have today. And so I would like to say Thank you and welcome home!!!  Regards, Jenny La Sala, coauthor of Vietnam And Beyondabout.me/jennylas51
